Isabella embarked on her ballet journey at the renowned Royal Ballet School in London under the guidance of a distinguished Russian coach. A trailblazer from a young age, at 15, she achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the first British student to gain admission to the prestigious Vaganova Ballet Academy, where she honed her skills for an impressive four-year period.
Isabella's stellar performances on the grand stage of the Mariinsky Theatre included unforgettable portrayals such as Medora in "Le Corsaire" (2012) and the captivating Queen of the Sea in "The Little Humpbacked Horse" (2011). Her training repertoire boasts remarkable renditions of iconic pieces such as "The Dying Swan" (2011), as well as enchanting roles like Snowflakes and Lead Arabian dancer in "The Nutcracker" (2010). In a notable highlight of her early career, she graced the London tour stage with the Mikhailovsky Ballet in a breathtaking rendition of Swan Lake in 2010.
Culminating her rigorous training, Isabella graduated with distinction from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in June 2012, having studied under the esteemed Irina Sitnikova. Her journey then led her to join the prestigious Mikhailovsky Ballet Company, where she could contribute her exceptional talent to the world of ballet. With a foundation steeped in tradition and a repertoire of extraordinary performances, Isabella stands as a testament to the timeless artistry of ballet.
Now, Isabella can share these experiences with very lucky Adult Ballet Dancers in Australia, with her Masterclass Intensive in Melbourne. and Perth is coming in January 2025.

The Beginner level is aimed at adults who have a good understanding of a basic, traditional ballet barre and want to advance their knowledge and build confidence.
This is not for absolute beginners. We'll spend a lot of time practising the minute details of foundational steps at the barre and in the centre. We'll focus on proper alignment, head and arm coordination, and simple combinations of steps and work on échappé, assemblé, changement and pas de chat jumps, and plié retiré (pirouttes not required!). The beginner level is great if you've been training for at least 1 year (2 times a week or more).
The Intermediate level is aimed at adults who have a solid technical foundation and are ready to learn more complex combinations involving grand allegro, linking steps, turns and weight transfer. We'll work on drills to really understand both stationary turns and turns on a diagonal. We will also deepen our knowledge of small jumps and build correct coordination and technique of larger jumps like sissonne, glissade grand assemblé, grand pas de chat, and more! The intermediate level is great if you are coming back to ballet as an adult after dancing at a high level, or for those who started as an adult and have been dancing for at least 3-4 years (2 times a week or more).
If you're not sure which is the level for you, email events@balletwithisabella.com
