Foundation Beginners is the perfect place to start to find your passion again!
Who is this class for? This class is for anyone who understands the basics of ballet- maybe you have done ballet as a child but had a long break and returned as an adult or you have completed our introduction to classical ballet level.
What you will learn at this level? In this class, you'll consolidate the basics of classical ballet and learn the foundations of pirouettes, jumps, and simple adages. Whether you’ve taken ballet classes as a child and need to refresh your basics or you’ve taken one introduction course with us, this class is ideal for brushing up on skills and learning proper technique. It also offers individual corrections and provides gentle guidance and support. And when you’re ready, you can then move into the Beginner's Classical Ballet class level.
When: Tuesday 7 pm Foundation Beginners Classical Ballet- 90mins Thursday 12:30pm Foundation Beginners Ballet- 90mins Saturday 10.15am Foundation Beginners Classical Ballet- 90mins Saturday 1:00pm Foundation Beginners (as of January 4, 2025)
Age: 16+ (no upper age limit)
What to wear/bring: T-shirt or comfortable top, leggings or sports shorts, dancewear, socks or canvas/leather ballet shoes, and a drink bottle.

The Adult Ballet Centre® is located in central bayside between the Mornington Peninsula and Melbourne City,
Arnold Street Studio This mid-century warehouse studio has high ceilings, white walls, and well-lit spaces, sprung floors with Tarkett, ballet barres, change room bathroom facilities, kitchenette, and reception lounge. Studio space can be hired for dance, yoga, photography, and more. Located: 3-5, factory 6, Arnold Street, Cheltenham on Bunurong Country, a short 15 min walk from Southland Station, with plenty of car parking in the surrounding streets.
