How The Pathway Works
Adult Ballet Centre’s program is divided into three progressive stages:
Steady → Strength → Soar
Each stage builds technical clarity, physical strength and artistic confidence through carefully guided level placement and specialist adult-focused teaching.
Placement is determined respectfully by our faculty to ensure safe, appropriate and supported development.
STEADY
Steady - Levels 1 & 2
Introduction & Foundation Classical Ballet
“Your first confident steps into adult ballet.”
Steady is designed for:
• Complete beginners
• Returning dancers after extended time away
• Adults building foundational technique
Level 1: Introduction to Classical Ballet (60 minutes)
Small-group, technique-based learning focused on terminology, alignment and basic coordination.
Level 2: Foundation Classical Ballet (90 minutes) Transition into full-length traditional classical ballet class structure with increasing technical clarity and strength.
Steady builds:
• Postural strength
• Core stability
• Turnout awareness
• Musical understanding
• Confidence in studio etiquette
*Recommended frequency: 1–2 classes per week
Level 2 progression opens access to:
• AICD Adult Ballet Assessment Program • Performance & Showcase
• Private coaching
• Stretch and Conditioning classes • The Fifth Hour - Ballet Cardio

STRENGTH
Strength - Levels 3 & 4
Progression & Technical Development

Strength is designed for adult dancers who:

This level includes:
• Advanced centre work
• Complex pirouettes & allegro
• Classical repertoire
• Performance preparation
• Higher intensity conditioning
Training is challenging, precise and artistically rich, always within a supportive adult environment.
Recommended frequency: 2–3+ classes per week
